Yin with Adjustments
with Taryn Ipenburg
As the earth turns and the Southern Hemisphere enters late Summer, we are bathed in long days, stronger sunlight, and an unmistakable lift in energy. According
to Ayurveda, this is Pitta season—governed by the fire element—and while this time brings vitality, productivity, and illumination, it can just as easily tip us into depletion, irritation, and burnout if left unchecked.
In this nurturing 2 hour Yin workshop, Taryn will guide you into an internal space of deep restoration - with hands on adjustments (given with your permission by Taryn), stillness, quiet and the space for metabolising the events and experiences of your summer. This workshop will offer you the opportunity to find a sense of calm as you prepare physically and spiritually to transition to the slower pace of Autumn.
A little more about Taryn
Taryn has been practicing yoga for almost 20 years and teaching for over a decade. Her approach to Yin is rooted in the belief that less is more. She intentionally puts less focus on talking - offering you the 'silence' during poses which can be so valuable for self-enquiry.
Rather than focusing on how a pose looks, Taryn gently encourages students to find their own expression of each shape, offering variations and options along the way. Her teaching emphasises comfort and ease, trusting that when the body fully relaxes, we can access the more subtle layers of ourselves — opening the door to greater clarity and insight.
